About Philipp Felsch
Born in 1972 in Göttingen, Philipp Felsch is a German historian and cultural scholar. After studying history and philosophy in Freiburg, Cologne, Bologna and Berlin, Felsch obtained his doctorate in 2006 at the University of Zurich with a thesis on physiological Alpine journeys in the 19th century. He is a professor of cultural history at Humboldt University in Berlin. He became well-known with his 2015 monograph “The Summer of Theory: History of a Rebellion, 1960-1990”.
