About Florian Schroeder
Florian Schroeder,born in 1979, studied German and Philosophy at the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg from 2000 to 2007. He began his stage career as a cabaret artist and parodist in his student days, gained experience as a radio and television presenter and received numerous awards. He is on tour in Germany, Austria and Switzerland with his current stage show "NEUSTART". He hosts the SWR cabaret show "Spätschicht" and most recently published his latest book "Schluss mit der Meinungsfreiheit!" (2021).
In his satirical show, Schroeder has been presenting satire, comedy and talk in a unique mix in collaboration with public broadcasters radioeins and hr1 since 2015. The show is regularly broadcast on ARD stations. In 2017 and 2019, special editions featuring Peer Steinbrück went on tour throughout Germany. He can be heard weekly on WDR 2, radioeins and hr1 with his radio columns. Florian Schroeder is the winner of the German Cabaret Prize 2020 in the cabaret category. In the summer of 2020, his satirical performance at an anitvaxx demonstration in Stuttgart on the subject of freedom of opinion earned him enormous attention.
